The Problem

User's in Guatemala are having problems setting their correct delivery address.

Research

Working with product management and the internal analytics team we figured out the issue lies within Google map’s address look-up services.
Conducted competitve research on delivery apps in Guatemala:

- Pedidos Ya
- McDonald's Express
- Hugo
- Uber Eats: Food Delivery


Solution

Through our data, we know user’s using location services had the least problems receiving their orders. Therefore we decided to really encourage users to use the location services more by adding a pop-up at the start of the localization experience.

Based on our research we found out that people in Guatemala use city neighborhoods to be able to pin-point their location. Therefore for the users that didn’t localize, they would use their neighborhoods to get them close to their location, then with the help of a map they can find their delivery address.
